Applications for WCID Board Positions Accepted Beginning 7/22

Applications will be accepted for two positions on the November election ballot
for the Travis County WCID - Point Venture Board of Directors beginning Monday,
July 22, 2024.
Applicants have until 5:00 pm on Monday, August 19, 2024 to submit their
application to be on the ballot. Interested applications are encouraged to submit
early and if you want to talk to an existing board member about the
responsibilities that can be arranged. Elections will be held Tuesday, November 5,
2024.
All interested, qualified applicants may either pick up an application at the
District’s Point Venture office weekdays between 8 am and noon or print them
from the District’s website https://tcwcid-pv.org/director-election-information
and then return the notarized application to the District’s Point Venture office.
Applications may also be submitted by email to Office@wcidpv.org.
Directors serve four-year terms and are expected to attend in-person monthly
Board meetings which are held the fourth Thursday of each month at 3:00 pm.
Occasionally special meetings are also scheduled.
Besides regular monthly business decisions, the Board also approves the District’s
budget and sets the property tax rate each year. Directors are also responsible
for setting customer rates for water and sewer services as well as other rates.
The District encourages interested residents or property owners to submit their
application for the ballot between July 22 and August 19.
